Nettle belongs to the best medicinal plants we have. Nettles are useful starting from the root and moving to the stem and leaves, and all the way to the flowers.
Therapeutic Effect and Application
The leaves have a hemostatic, diuretic, and antirheumatic effect, have a beneficial effect on the metabolism, and reduce blood sugar. This action is due to vitamins, iron salts and other compounds.
Useful properties
It is used for internal haemorrhages (uterine, renal, hepatic) and as a tonic.
For eczema in children, nettle tea helps a lot. Eczema in most cases has an internal cause and must be treated internally with blood-purifying herbs.

Folk recipes with nettles
External application:
Fresh nettle is recommended for burning in rheumatism and joint pains, for baths for skin rashes, for applying paws for inflamed lymph glands, and for cuts, injuries, and swellings.
Fresh leaves of nettle, soaked for 20 days in olive oil (1:10) are used to lubricate wounds, burns, and bruises.
A decoction of nettle roots with vinegar and water (1:10:5) and boiled for 5 minutes is used for friction against dandruff and for hair growth.
Internal application:
2 tbsp. leaves are put in 500 ml of water. Boil for 5 minutes. Drink 100 ml before meals, 4 times a day.
The seeds together with the tops are recommended for diabetes (2 tablespoons in 1 bucket of yoghurt, eaten three times after meals).
To strengthen the heart muscle, the roots are applied (1 tablespoon each of nettle and blood geranium roots is put in 600 ml of water; boil for 10 minutes; drink 4 times a day before meals; honey is also added).
Attention! When picking, nettles cause skin inflammation!
